Which one to look for
Group 4-spec competition car built for BMW's one-make Procar Championship, run as a support series to European Formula 1 weekends. Retuned to roughly 470hp with a large rear spoiler, flared arches and a modified front apron; the five fastest F1 qualifiers from each Grand Prix weekend raced identical examples against a field of touring and endurance racers.
The standard road-going car, sold to private customers to satisfy the 400-unit Group 4 homologation minimum. Every example shares the same 277hp M88/1 engine and 5-speed ZF gearbox; there is no factory trim ladder or optional powertrain to chase.
